How to Assemble the MiiCoffee DF54 Step by Step

Assembly comes down to four steps: seat the bellows, lock the wood cap, mount the dosing cup, then plug it in. Getting the order right matters — skip one, and you’ll be starting over. Knowing how to set up MiiCoffee DF54 correctly the first time saves you that redo.

1. Seat the bellows onto the burr chamber.

How to Find the Zero Point and Calibrate the Grind Dial

Calibrating the DF54 means finding zero—the exact point where the burrs touch. Match the dial’s indicator to that point, and every future grind number stays accurate.

Run the grinder empty, with no beans in the hopper. Slowly turn the adjustment dial toward fine. Stop the moment you hear a light chirp or tick—that’s the burrs touching. Back off slightly, then set the dial indicator to zero at that spot.

Because calibration procedures can vary by grinder version, follow the instructions supplied with your DF54. As a safety rule, do not adjust the grind mechanism with beans loaded, and avoid making adjustments during active grinding unless the manufacturer’s instructions specifically allow it.

How to Run Your First Grind and Dial In
